2.  Countdown to the New Site – 20 Days!

Thank you, thank you for you continued patience as we work to move into our new site.

The current site is literally bursting at the seams, causing slow loading times, link-drops, login issues and more.

Thank YOU for being part of the expansion that led to this necessary site upgrade! Growth is a GREAT problem and we LOVE you!

Please know that we are working as fast as we can to move this octopus to it’s new home ASAP. We so appreciate your patience and your prayers!

The grand opening for the new site won’t be until Thursday, November 11th (giving us time to work out all the bugs), but the site will be launched and up and running on Monday, September 9th, Lord willing.

Please be praying for this huge project!

3. New Site Feature of the Week – See What’s There!

The new site is just full of cool features, but the most important feature may be its ease of navigation.

For years we have been trying to find a way to put 30+ awesome sites together under one umbrella, and now we have.

I think you’re going to love how easy and fast it is to find what you are looking for, to see what all is available, and to access anything you want within seconds.

Site Launch: 20 Days & Counting

4. Personal Note from Marnie

We had SUCH a great 30th anniversary trip, and thank you to all who sent along congrats!

Two days before we left, our daughter, Keren, drove from Florida to surprise us in person. She’s planning to hang around a while and will be doing project work at the family restaurant through September. I’m so excited!!

Tim finished his summer of counseling at Trout Lake Bible Camp and heads off for his 3rd year of college tonight. It’s been great to have him home a few days!

Best ever, all 3 of my kids have been home with us this week. There just isn’t anything better than being together, is there!

Looking forward to heaven and endless together time with them, and with YOU!!

Have a super week!

Eating with God: 1 Year Anniversary

4 Jul
July 4, 1976
Independence Day for America.

July 4, 2009
Independence Day for Marnie.

One year ago today, my journal records a breakthrough with God:
– I understood that DIET = “die” with a “cross” at the end of it.
– I understood that there was only One person who was ever supposed to die on the cross for my sins (and it wasn’t me).
– I understood that I must begin “Eating with God.”

And I did… and so did many others. Over at

It’s been a wonderful, learning, changing-habits year.

I’ve lost many pounds, but WAY more importantly, I have NEVER felt deprived, in fact, only ever the opposite, and, best of all, I have grown closer to God with every bite. Now, that’s a win/win!

Do You Push Yourself Too Hard?

15 Apr

I asked for a little help from my good, wise friend Susan about this one. I was explaining to her how hard it was to decide if I should self-protect or push myself. She responded with these words,

Susan Helweg
Susan Helweg with son, Michael
“Ah, yes….one of those balance things…our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit & we have a responsibility to take care of them as best we are able. But that doesn’t rule out “stretching” them to do what God has called us to do…. Will pray you have wisdom to know when to protect & when to push. =) Love you! Susan”

Susan is the mother of 12 children and I’ve lost track of how many grandchildren. She is constantly “on call” for some major event, crises or thrill, yet remains a steady source of encouragement to me and others by letting the Holy Spirit shine through her.

If you are currently facing a time-management quandary, remember that the Holy Spirit wants to help you decide what to do.

As for me, I am recuperating nicely and am trying, the best I can, to take it easy. It isn’t easy when God has the platter full, but He is helping me see the places and times I can rest… and I’m taking Him up on every offer!

Have a fantastic weekend!
Love, Marnie
